The teaching curriculum of the School of Biology aims to provide students an exposure to all broad areas of biology. Many of our lab modules are designed to offer them an experience of carrying out research along with faculty members and PhD students. In addition to taking courses all BS-MS students majoring in biology undertake a 2 semester long research project (Major project). Many students majoring in other subjects (Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics) opt to do a semester-long Minor project in Biology. Several major and minor projects have resulted in publications in peer-reviewed journals co-authored by the students.

The school offers several courses as part of the BS-MS, Integrated-PhD and PhD programs.
